Events

Completing events unlocks new Champions and gear to add to the player's collection.

Event adventures require event tokens, which can be collected by killing enemies. One event token drops from killed enemies every 25 seconds, which will add up to 144 tokens per hour and 3456 per day. When no enemy is killed for some period of time, the drop rate increases to provide missing tokens.

Using Contracts will also reward event tokens based on their rarity.

Next Scheduled Time Gates: December 13st, 2019 at Noon PST. Natural Time Gates will be opened by Kaylaar approximately every 3 weeks and remain open for 72 hours. You can also open them once you've collected 6 Time Gate Pieces.
Long ago, there were ways to travel through time within Toril. These portals, or Time Gates as they were known, were powerful creations of magic that have become lost to time. Mystra, the goddess of magic, has foreseen great challenges coming for the champions and has granted one of her chosen, Kaylaar, the power to open Time Gates to assist you in your quests.

Achievements

		You can earn the Event Achievements for recruiting the Champion, obtaining gear for each slot, and their ability-based achievement. However, you cannot earn the achievements for completing all three variants, or completing area 175 in Free Play, during Time Gate Events.

(at least one new Champion if possible)

When you select a Champion, the next time they are available within a Time Gate, the target areas are increased by 50. This effect stacks if you continue to choose the same Champion, making their rewards harder to get. If you don't choose that champion, the target areas will drop by 25 (to a minimum of 50 & 75).

For the next 12 weeks, four brave Harper agents will attempt to mission-impossible their way to fame and riches in Waterdeep. You can help them out by earning them special Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realm D6s. Complete adventures to earn points, which contribute along with everyone else's points towards these special dice. When the time is right, in the live table-top game, the players will be able to use these dice to supplement their saving throws or ability checks. Will your aid make the difference between life and death?! Tune in to the next show to find out!

Event Mechanics

Earning Points

As demonstrated in the image above points can be earned by completing adventures, adventure variants, or free plays. Every new adventure or variant gives 5 points. The first free-play of the day also earns 5 points and every subsequent free play that day earns 1 points. On free-plays one must hit the target level. The target level starts at 50, increases by 10 for every free-play completed. Every day the target level goes down by 50 (to a minimum of 50). You get no additional points for completing any level beyond the target level. Example: You start your first free play and finish level 50 so you get 5 points and the target level increases to 60. You then do 12 more free-play runs to the target level that day increasing the target level to 180 and earning 12 more points for a total of 18 points that day. The next day after the timer runs out the target drops down to 130 and that is the level you must beat to get the first 5 free-play points that day.
Dice for the Next Episode

All the points gotten by all the players are added together. When the sum becomes greater then a the amount need for the next dice the number next to the bar is increased and the bar resets to empty. Each additional dice requires more points to get. During the live broadcast D&D game the players on "Dice, Camera, Action" will be able to use the dice to improve their odds of success on ability checks and saves.
Personal Rewards

In addition to the dice for the players on "Dice, Camera, Action" a veriety of personal rewards can also be obtained by getting points, with each reward being given for a certain point total.
